There are over 33,000 species of fish in the world. Fin is a trout. They come in a wide range of colors, shapes, and sizes. Trout are freshwater fish that live in the streams, rivers and lakes across America, Europe, and Asia. Some of the most common types of trout are the black-spotted, rainbow, cutthroat, and golden trout.
Patrick the Turtle
There over 350 species of turtles in the world. Patrick happens to be a box turtle found in North America. Box turtles are members of the pond turtle family. They hibernate during cold winter weather. When a box turtle gets scared, they will pull in their head and legs in and close their shell. They will hide until the danger is past. The shell is very tough and almost impossible to open when closed.
Tod the Frog
There are over 7,300 species of frogs in the world. Frogs have a wide range of colors, shapes, and sizes! Many frogs like Tod start off as tadpoles. Tadpoles take about 14 weeks to transform into tiny frogs. They develop back legs first, then front legs, finally losing their tales when they develop lungs and eardrums. Tod is a Bullfrog, which can be found in freshwater ponds, lakes, and marshes.
Josiah the Owl
There are about 250 species of owls in the world. Josiah is a brown owl, which are known to be affectionate toward their family and even known to cuddle with their mate and babies. Owls can turn their heads almost all the way around, have great hearing, and binocular vision.
